Impressive sized pair large antique French baroque pricket candlesticks gilt brass with ornate repousse details tripod base. The tall spire or spine top holds the candel securely. The floral shaped cup underneath to prevent wax drips. Made of shaped and beaten brass with gilt details and well polished, these impressive candlesticks are finished all round. The baroque column support and raised on ornate pedestals with carved tripod claw feet. Made for an important residence of large scale.

Pair heavy 17th century Scandinavian cast brass Candlesticks with drip tray raised on turned feet. Cast and turned in solid brass these original candlesticks would date to late 1680's and are of the Baroque era Scandinavia. Extremely heavy and stable they are cast in sections and from lost wax technique and then refined and chiseled with details such as the winged angel heads on the drip tray. The brass or bronze has been polished and burnished over centuries and has obtained a lovely smooth patina that only comes with time.

Antique heavy bronze and nickel measuring ruler made by Michelsen of Norway for Danish company Moeller & Lanschutz. This rare and unique vintage ruler bronze and nickel measuring device with cm and Inches. It is stamped underneath by Michelsen of Norway circa 1930 is the ultimate desktop accessory and is very heavy at 360 grams, ideal as a paperweight. The bronze spine is cast in one section and bronze is rivetts through the solid Nickel base. Unusual to this is that the ruler has a slight machined curved base for greater accuracy to the edge whilst retaining the exact dimensions due to its mass and thickness. Moeller and Landschutz is a Danish company that specialises in stationery.

Large neoclassical or Art Deco Empire style polished brass tazza urn with central column and caryatid supports circa 1930.
The large urn shaped top with engine turned details and minor repairs to the inside rim is mounted on a reeded column surrounded by goddesses with intertwined arms in the ancient Greek manner as if making a dance around the pedestal. These lady statues are mounted to an hexagonal pedestal with ornate mouldings.

Antique 18th century original heavy solid polished brass chandelier with 8 cast solid brass arms. Each with cast solid scroll supports and heavy turned brass candle holders. Above these are a further eight cast brass arms with burnished refectors. Each arm is individually numbered and matched to a precise dovetail mount in the solid frame. The chandelier has not been electrified and works on candle power for a more romantic mood. A three link original suspension chain in brass is included. Originally this would have been attached to a cord and pulley to allow replacement of candles by lowering the chandelier.
The main body of solid brass turned bulbous shape. Baroque examples of this type were usually used in large banquetting halls and are very hard to obtain.

Rare antique solid brass warming pan on tripod lions paw feet. the flared dish with engraved lines to bowl and with rivetted brass handle shaft and turned wlnut handle. The three lions paw feet are rivited to the bowl and one has an old solder repair. . these add stability to the pan. usually used to heat things from underneath, a posnet is a traditional English Georgian dish , like a skittet pan and was designed to hold hot embers under a dish. the turned walnut handle takes this utilitarian object to another level as walnut was very expensive. Antique French Louis XIV cast bronze inkwell with baroque heraldic lion rampant and monopodia supports and incised details with a wonderful patina. The heraldic lion holds a shield atop the inkwell lid. When lifted this heavy lid opens to the vast interior. Usually these inkwells have a replacable glass or ceramic insert. There is no insert to this but they are easily acquired online. The round baroque fountain shape of the well is surrounded in the by three angels complete with spread wings in the Italian manner and terminate with monopodia feet giving great sturdiness to this practical desk top object.
