Antique English large Louis XVI style ebony and marquetry oval dining table with burl walnut and gilt bronze mounts including 4 original salon chairs.
Traditionally known as a Loo table for the card game of Lanternloo this is a large table ideal for dining.
The oval top with ebony and satinwood marquetry and ornate ormolu moulding over a four fluted column supports to Louis XVI legs adorned with more gilt bronze mounts.
There are four original chairs included.
The substantial oval top sits
securely on the base and is nice and sturdy.
Superb original french polished
patina finish is a value point.
The clearance under the skirt is ideal even for armchairs at 69cm clearance.
Genuine antique tables of this
size and shape are much sought after by interior decorators and this one is in
great condition. The legs have original castors underneath to allow the table to
be moved.
The four matching chairs are original to the table and ideal for the salon. Nice and sturdy they also retain their peach coloured vintage velvet and have springs under the seats for comfort.
