Well designed and hand made In the French Louis XVI manner with brass moulding frames and taper legs joined by lower platform shelf. The solid turned bronze knob pulls open the drawer under the polished mahogany top. The ornate cut brass sabot feet raises these tables to a very high quality. These tables will suit any French or modern interiors and are ideal as lamp tables end tables consoles or even bedside tables. They are a matching pair and the slight faded colour differentiation is from one table being exposed to constant sunlight...his and hers! Antique Dutch marquetry chest of drawers with inlaid column front in the neoclassical manner , Dutch late 18th century . The body with ornate floral marquetry inlay. A single drawer under the top with 5 more drawers underneath flanked by full columns with bronze capitals and bases. The whole raised on elegant tapering legs. A rare small size this chest was probably bespoke made in the early 1800's as a collectors cabinet or specimen chest. It might also have been an apprentice piece . No doubt this apprentice graduated with full honours to master cabinet maker on the merits of this superb chest. The height of 68cm makes it ideal as a bedside chest.

The gorgeous original ornate grain and french polished flame mahogany top secured by original lock and steel key with gilt brass ormolu escutcheon. The serpentine shaped lift top reveals a fitted interior with nine compartments with lids and turned handles ideal for the collectors or rings jewellry or trinkets and perfect as lamp table or even bedside table.

Pair early Georgian HALL CHAIRS in solid oak fine original condition and patina circa 1720. Made of solid English oak these gorgeous chairs are nice and sturdy. They have their original well carved for and undisturbed patina waxed finish - a value point and are traditional peg jointed construction. The shaped back splat of baluster shape to curved top rail. The oak seats are rebated into the chair rails a superior method of construction and raised on turned front legs with turned stretcher joynt. English George I period 1720

An apprentice chest was a unique piece of furniture made by the budding cabine maker before he was allowed to become a member of the Guild of cabinet makers. Of Austrian origin, this lovely example combines baroque and rococo elements all executed in solid oak. The gorgeous high quality original gilt bronze handles and escutcheons accentuate the rococo design of this chest. As apprentice pieces were usually of a smaller scale, the maker was examined by the Guild not just in the overall design aesthetics but also the precise ability of the cabinet maker execution with choice of timber type, woodgrain and of course construction techniques. This small chest could easily be scaled up in size and dimensions. Ideal use as a hallway console or even as a bedside cabinet.
Chests of these dimensions did not exist in the 18th century hence this bespoke made 1850's piece in the rococo manner..

A rare pair of antique bedside cabinets from the Biedermeier revival period circa 1910. Beautifully veneered in flame mahogany right round and polished throughout, these cabinets can stand as occasional or lamp tables in the centre of a room. Each door opens with an elegant turned knob : left hinged on one, right on the other cabinet. An elegant arched facade encases an upper compartment and this is surmounted by solid antique green mable tops. Very elegant and extremely useful this pair would date from the early 1900's and are Scandinavian made, most likely Stockholm Sweden. They are polished right round so can also be used as lamp tables or feature pedestal stands for statues or sculpture etc.

Polished right round so it can stand in the centre of a room, this Biedermeier era cabinet is fitted with a stepped cherry top with ebony edging below which is a single drawer with a single door. It is beautifully veneered in figurative verticle cherrywood veneers and edges of solid ebony string inlay. Raised on a stepped plinth. Superb quality ideal for any room and will blend equally well in an Art Deco interior. Ideal as a stand for sculpture or a statue as it is beautifully polished right round. Replaced lock and ornate brass knobs. The cabinet has a seal stamp underneath with a crown and initials T T. It stems from the noble family collection of Thurn and Taxis . Its very rare for any Biedermeier furniture to be signed and as the seal bears a crown in the stamp this Nobility provenance would certainly have commissioned other furniture for their castle Shoenburg. German 1820 possibly Munich

French Louis XV vintage rococo occasional lamp or bedside table of serpentine shape.
Polished all round so it can be used as a lamp table . The sepentine top mounted over a shaped rococo frame raised on four cabriole legs.
This is a bespoke made late 20th century table. It should not be mistaken for an antique Fench original. Tables of these dimensions did not exist in the 18th century hence this unique table was made to suit a modern designer's requirements. Minor veneer repairs scuffs but in good sturdy condition and good patinated polished finish.
1980s in the French 18th century manner.
