An antique solid oak fall front desk in the Swedish Gustavian manner of the 18th century.
The fall front writing surface with traditional pegged construction and molded frame opens with a steel key revealing two flights of drawers , compartments and a matching central door inside thw writing area.
Below this are two pull out supports flanking a ribbed or reeded front drawer in the Swedish 18th century manner. Two full width drawers below open with brass Gustavian handles. Raised on fluted tapering legs with pegged construction. The key works on all locks. The whole has a lovely blonde oak patina with well waxed finish and is most probably of Swedish origin.

example is a 20th century made desk of an original early 1740's desk, no doubt

This is a most impressive sized desk for the period. There are traces of former "call button installations" to the legroom apron that have been inlaid with matching wood.. all part of the character of this large desk.
It bears two impressed stamps. One with initials W . D and the year date 3712 for 3rd July 1912. The other stamp is a gold embossed serial number 4048.

in the sheraton manner. This beautifully made piece of georgian made furniture
has two lower drawers above a pull out writing surface that opens the cylindre
top, revealing a fitted interior with five drawers.
The superb inlay with fruitwood
and boxwoods and the butterfly crest centre is carried forward in the lower
drawer escutcheons.
All locks work and are with
keys.
The lower taper legs were
originally demountable so that they would fit into the drawers when the desk was
used abord a sailing ship. Note the anchor emblems to the handles.

Wonderful antique Karl Johan period Swedish satin
birch escritoire secretaire or fall front desk in superb condition circa 1820-1830.
Beautifully fitted with internal drawers and central door. The fall front is
counter balanced and has an invisible internal steel hinge. Complete with all
locks and keys , it very hard to find such a beautiful piece of Empire or
Biedermeier furniture in such excellent condition. All locks work smoothly.
There is even a cubby hole for your laptop or tablet in the central open
compartment. This internal compartment measures for depth 40 cm width 39.5 cm
and height 7.5 cm.
Flanked by well turned and carved columns and with nicely detailed top edge.
Dates from the first quarter of the 19th century and is very compatible with
Biedermeier, Art Deco , Empire or Regency interiors. Superb Satin Birch

revival desk of convex and concave shape, fitted with two shaped drawers that

known Viennese Biedermeier factory of Joseph Dannhauser. Some of his original

Description
Antique mahogany fall front
bureau secretaire desk. The gorgeous flame mahogany on solid oak base with all
original finish including mother of pearl escutcheons locks and keys. The
interior is fitted with a full width writing slide that doubles the surface
area. Above this are three drawers per side flanking a central key locked
compartment and a full length drawer above.
In beautiful original considtion,
this is a gorgeous Biedermeier desk. All drawers open smoothly and all locks and

A Colonial Australian Cedar writing desk of twin
pedestal form the two flights of graduated size drawers with turned wooden knobs
and fitted with later brass locks and escutcheons . The pedestals are joined
with a "harbour bridge arch" to both front and back. Nicely polished all round
so it can stand in the centre of a room. It is most unusual to see a desk of
this quality made entirely of Australian cedar, including the drawer backs and
bottom, which of course feature hand cut dovetail joints. Each pedestal has been
raised on later hidden castors under the pedestal, for ease of moving and to
modern 76cm height. Nice original patina to the surface shows the love and care
of a bygone era. All drawers open smooth as silk .

Good blonde wood regency style PERIOD BIEDERMEIER sofa table or writing table with shaped frieze and fitted single drawer. This piece is meant to be in the centre of a room as it is finished all round. The shaped drawer front with cross banded ebony veneer and cherrywood chevron influenced from the French Empire or Directoire manner. Raised on elegant shaped and ebonised lyre supports and sabre legs. A good sturdy piece of furniture. The table top has a drop leaf to each side measuring 20 cm in width so with both raised it adds another 40 cm to the width of the desk / table top. Original steel hinges are hidden under the shaped moulding edge as are the pull out supports.
Original from Northern European, possibly Danish and would date to around 1820-1825. The drop leaves have minor repairs to one corner at some time, but has been done very well. Please see all images below for details.

A well tooled gilt leather
antique library table . The cedar top surrounds an ornate green tooled leather
surface with amazing gold leaf design. Perfect as a library table or even as an
impressive desk.
The top rests on four turned
cedar legs, raised on brass cups and with brown porcelain castors. This allows
for aluxurious 65cm clearance below the apron.
This goregous table has all the
polished patina of a bygone era and is very practical for many purposes.

Biedermeier style writing table of large proportions. The original olive green
leather top with gilt toolingsurrounded by blond wood frame. The apron with
ebonised recessed moulding all round with three elegant brass handled deep
drawers to one side. the whole raised on Tapering louis XVI style legs that
termniate in brass sabot feet. Its size is truely impressive. It could also be
used as a dining table and would seat up to 8 persons comfortably.
Clearance below apron is a luxurious 62 cm .

campaign desk . The three drawer top with black leather inserts and brass
campaign handles. Each drawer is dovetailed and works smoothly.
The solid mahogany turned legs
with brass caps and brass castors and original patina.
Brass military style campaign
handles open and close to leave a flat surface. brass corners complete the
piece. The legs can be unscrewed for transport and are fitted in pairs. The
ingenious design allows for minimal space storage and ideal for any steamship
era transport!

An elegant victorian desk with
original sienna tan leather top with original gold tooled designs , a value
point!
Below the top are two brass
handled drawers, each with original working brass locks and a working key is
supplied. Polished all round this is a centre of the room desk and is raised on
solid turned legs. The timber is a blonde wood that has been stained too look
like walnut possibly maple or satinwood.
The original leather tooled top
is very rare to find and with such a good amount of gold in the tooling
represents significant value. To replace with a modern hide it would cost in
excess of the cost of this desk....PLUS you have the benefit of all that
experience that the leather shows with pride...patina!

Description
A french polished Biedermeier
revival bureau chest in flame mahogany. The cylinder top rotates out of the way
back into the cabinet and reveals multiple drawers and secret compartments with
marquetry inlay. The pull out writing surface drawer also holds three
compartments. Below this pull out desktop are a further three drawers, the upper
two with bow front curve and the bottom drawer with moulded wave front. Rare to
find such a good desk in original condition . A key is supplied for to open the
drawers with in thetraditional scandinavian manner. The addition of turned and
carved columns flanking the two bow fronted drawers is a lovely architectural
touch as is the marquetry inlay to the central door in the writing compartment (
key supplied) . Would suit any Art Deco or Danish modern minimalist
interior.
